Help make it happen
The Majestic Ram will be funded entirely by
private and corporate donations.
As of April 2009 we have collected
$22,450.50 in donations: This is roughly 3/4 of the amount needed to
completely finish the statue project. We need an additional $8,000.00
for completion! If we can collect the last $8000.00, we are
planning on dedicating ‘The Mounder’ during the ‘Let Freedom
Ring’ celebration on July 4th, 2009.
We would be remiss if we didn’t take the time
to thank all of you who have so unselfishly donated and made this
project a reality. But we still need your help! We have received many
donations ‘in memory’ of family members and deceased classmates - this
is a wonderful alternative to explore!
Your participation and donation will provide
you with an ‘ownership’ in creating a magnificent piece of Art to
represent the ‘Spirit’ and the ‘Memory’ of

The Village of Mt. Morris Parks and Recreation Board has consented to creating a 'Line-Item Account' called "The Mounder Statue Account". The advantage to all of us will be that all donations will be tax deductible using the Village’s (503-C) tax status. We can only accept private and corporate donations; there will be no public tax funds accepted.

Jeff Adams from inbronze in
Mt. Morris has received the design 'Maquette' from Sculptor
David Seagraves. Very soon
he will be pouring this miniature version which is approximately 7.5” x
7.5” (1/10th the size of our large version) in bronze. This
Limited Edition Bronze of the Mounder will be held to 20 numbered
pieces. The committee holds ownership of this Bronze and it will not be
duplicated once we sell out.
We are selling these Limited Edition Bronze Sculptures for $1,850.00. If you wish to change to a different base than the one that is provided on the Limited Edition, there will be an extra charge depending on the base you choose. Purchase of the ‘Maquette’ will require two payments: $925.00 payable to the Mounder Statue Fund when you place your order and then $925.00 upon completion.
All proceeds from the sale of this limited edition ‘Mounder’ have gone toward the completion of the Statue Project. If you are interested in purchasing a ‘Maquette’ , don’t hesitate to email Doug Wean dwean1@msn.com 815-734-1338.
