Lorie  attended the reunion.  She is looking forward to "catching up" through the Internet and the 50th reunion celebration.  Laurie was a West Ottawa High School English teacher until retiring in 2007.  Currently she is on the Adjunct faculty, Davenport University, Holland campus.  Volunteer activities include Henderson Settlement, Frakes, KY Sept. 2007 & 2008, home repair projects with her church outreach group, KidsHopeUSA at Holland Heights Elementary and tutoring.
She is  also involved in various activities to raise money for scholarships and community projects.  Laurie's

Peggey says "Can you believe 50 years have gone by ? Thankfully I'm still healthy and active and my family is the same. My husband Paul and I met at Illinois Wesleyan University and  were both Music Ed. majors. We both taught music, I in grade school and Paul in HS. Paul also was the business manager for the Medinah Shriners after his retirement from teaching. We have 2 children. Our daughter Beth and  her husband Paul have 4 children, Alex(17), Grant(15), Sophie(8), and Mia (5). They live in Holland Mi. Our son Rick and his wife Marta have 2 boys, Knox(10) and Kai(5) and live in Chevy Chase, Md. Beth taught deaf children and Rick is assistant principal Bass in the National Symphony in Washington DC. I sing professionally in Chicago Choral Artists and for several churches in the Chicago area. My husband retired from the Shriners this past Aug. and we look forward to traveling in our 5th wheel in the coming year with a trip to Alaska."

Regretabbly Peggy will not be able to attend the reunion.  She hopes that we wil have a wonderful time with each other and looks forward to hearing from as many of us as possible.  She says "Good Health to you all and God Bless."

Dave plans attended the reunion.
Dave is retired from the national council of the Boy Scouts of America after 36 years of service.  He is now working part time with a company that helps non-profit organizations. Dave is also writing a book on the natural and cultural history of Philmont Scout Ranch, a 137,000 acre facility in the mountains of northern new Mexico.   Beside several volunteer jobs Dave finds time to paddle his kayak and fish in the 45 acre lake on which their house fronts.

Gary and his wife Jan attended the reunion dinner as well as the Alumni dance and Pre-reunion party.  Gary is retired and living the good life in the Dallas area.  He enjoys fishing, camping and see his 3 adult sons. Gary has one grandson age 18 who is in the Army about to deploy to Afghanistan and one \"custody\" granddaughter in her 1st year of Texas college.  Gary says that he loves to teach fishing and camping skills to his 8 year old grandson,3 year old grandson and 3 year old granddaughter. They keep Jan and Gary very busy with all their little sports and Cub Scout activities. 

Gary and Jan are excited about the 50th reimopm amd [;am tp attemd.  !  They say "Good Job Committee!"

Elvira will not be able to attend the reunion.  She says that she can't believe 50 years has passed already.. where does the time go?  Three years ago January I lost my husband Harry to cancer. This year would have been our 20th anniversary. It's been difficult, but I keep going. Two years ago I had a total right hip replacement but recovered well and am still active and working as a CNA, at Maple Crest in Belvidere; I have been there 19 years and have no plans to retire yet-- I love the people and don't know what I'd do with myself.  My four grandkids keep me busy too. Harry and I were active in the Rock River Valley Studebaker Club and I still attend functions and am proud to have his 1946 Studebaker truck. Elvira sends her very best wishes to everyone in our class. " I hope you have a great time and I wish you all health and happiness."
